Unheard Studio Residency is a two-week immersion for Bangalore-based contemporary dancers who wish to develop new work and push their artistry and physical boundaries through movement research. It champions play and experimentation. This one is for dancers to just DANCE!
The two-week residency includes
- 20 hours of studio time for self-directed rehearsals.
- A feedback session in a small group.
- Workshops in improvisation and composition, writing and talking about dance, Alexander Technique, and Cunningham Technique.
- A work-in-progress showing for the public.
Unheard Studio Residency is facilitated by Joshua Sailo and Dayita Nereyeth, for Codabloo Studio and Studio 2B. It is made possible by contributions from artists and supporters who have played and witnessed at Codabloo Studio. Thanks to Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore for their support.
The first iteration of Unheard Studio Residency was held in October 2024. Meet the 2024 residents. Stay tuned for more in 2025.
